Center for Children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing

Inclusive Communication Support

Guidance and Support for the Family

Focusing on early detection and intervention in listening, language
development, speech development and parent education for infants, toddlers and school-aged children who are Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHH).

Hearing Loss Education and Guidance

We offer resources, guidance and a potential plan of action to navigate the medical, educational and sociological journey of families with children who are DHH.

Support for Infants and Toddlers

Our team specializes in a holistic approach to supporting the young child who is DHH, focusing on listening, language development, speech
development/remediation and parent education. We offer a wide range of services and approaches that empower DHH children through the use of specialized techniques and training for both the families and children. Our goal is to support communication development in everyday life, with the ultimate goal of helping DHH children fully integrate into the hearing world.

Support for School Age Students

Our team offers specialized support for school-age children who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing (DHH), emphasizing academic interventions that enhance their learning and social experience in the school. Through intensive training, we provide individualized instruction in core subjects, utilizing education/classroom strategies that cater to each child's unique educational needs. Our ultimate goal is to ensure that DHH students can effectively access the complete curriculum, foster academic and social growth as well as empower children to succeed in a mainstream educational environment.

Community-Centered Care Support for the Whole Family

Parents of children who are DHH are also a major source of assistance to
other families who are new to this journey. Workshops and support groups will be organized in the areas of audiology, deaf education, speech pathology, social work, psychology and beyond to conduct workshops and educate parents and family members on supporting their child’s auditory, language, speech, academic and social needs.
